Bob McKinnon.

Bob brings to Mirin Digital a wealth of strategic and operational knowledge in the areas of IT strategy and capability development, IT organisation and governance, strategic sourcing of IT, strategic vendor management and program delivery assurance.

With a career spanning more than 40 years, Bob has held an impressive variety of group executive, senior executive and board roles in finance, technology and general management across the financial services and property industries. These roles included Group Executive, Technology and Chief Information Officer of both Westpac Group (2008 – 2011) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (2000 – 2006), making him one of Australia’s leading technology executives of that time.

Outside Technology, Bob’s senior executive roles included Joint Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Multiplex Group, Chief Executive of State Street Australia, Chief General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of MLC Group, and Chief Financial Officer of Lend Lease Corporation.

Bob’s extensive business, technology and financial skills have also enabled him to build a significant Board portfolio, including a variety of positions such as Executive / Non-Executive Director and Chair.

James McKinnon.

As co-founder of Mirin Digital, James has worked on a variety of consulting assignments including interim Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at The a2 Milk Company, initiating the implementation and rollout of a new technology operating model and strategic investment roadmap.

An experienced technologist with more than 20 years employed in the technology industry across Australia, Asia, and the USA, including companies such as EDS and Hewlett Packard. He has extensive knowledge in IT strategy and architecture, software engineering, IT service delivery, and sourcing and transformation.

Over the years, James has also held a variety of consulting and delivery roles across a broad section of industries, including financial services.

James is a proven technology investor and advisor to early stage, high growth technology companies, with experience building digital ventures from idea to launch.

He is founder of Sittr, the #1 Childcare App in Australia, and Entrepreneur-in-Residence for BlueChilli’s corporate innovation accelerators.
